The Department of Special Collections provides access to more than 35,000 volumes, manuscripts, archival records, photographs, films, architectural drawings, and ephemera.
The collections at the University of St. Thomas libraries range from the thousands of physical and digital items in our general collection to rare and historical materials found online and in the Department of Special Collections.
Our collections are dedicated to supporting the research and teaching needs of students, faculty, and staff, as well as archiving and preserving rare books, artifacts, and other materials in physical and digital formats.

Research Online is a digital repository that collects scholarly work created or sponsored by faculty, students, or staff of the University of St. Thomas.
The Music & Media Collections house more than 100,000 titles in streaming audio and video, music CDs, DVDs, LPs, and VHS. Located in Room 309 on the third floor of O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library.
Digital Collections features digital objects from the St. Thomas Libraries’ Special Collections and Archives and our campus partners. The collections include images, publications, manuscripts, streaming audio/video and more.
